Lionel Scharly

Lionel Scharly is a prominent figure in the field of industrial design and architecture. He is known for his innovative and sustainable approach to design, which has earned him recognition and awards in the industry. Here are some highlights of his career:
 

• Educational Background: Lionel Scharly graduated with honors in Fine Arts / Art Deco on Design+Architecture and holds an Advanced Master’s degree with honors in Computational Design & Architecture / Multimedia-Hypermedia from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris. He also has degrees from Harvard Graduate School of Design, Princeton University, and MIT.
   

• Professional Impact: He founded SCHARLY DESIGNER STUDIO® in 2007 and has worked as an Art Director and International Design Manager for major corporations in Europe. Lionel has also served as an Adjunct Lecturer and Professor, contributing as a peer reviewer for the AIA Convention in the United States and a Lecturer in Architecture for The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
   

• Notable Achievements: Lionel invented the Intelligent Bench, a smart street furniture piece installed in Paris parks. His work includes public architecture, cultural centers, residential homes, and eco-friendly wood TreeHouses across the United States and Central America. His designs have been exhibited at venues like the French Pavilion at the 2010 World’s Fair in Shanghai and the 15th Biennale of Architecture in Venice.
